Job Title: Quotation Specialist

Department: Lighting

Reports To: Lighting Manager

FLSA Status: Non‐Exempt

 

Position Summary: Prepares and submits customer quotations/proposals (quantity, product, price, delivery/lead times, terms, and conditions) to secure sales and provide customer service. Scope of quote preparation includes a warehouse and/or direct shipment sales to the service construction industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Identifies potential projects for bid and compiles a list of material requirements

•Reads and interprets specifications and blueprints

•Communicates with suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarify and confirm bill of materials, negotiate pricing and identify alternatives for special or custom orders

•Requests & interprets lighting take‐offs for preparation of bids

•Assists with negotiating pricing with suppliers

•Coordinates receipt of all required information for the preparation of the final proposal

•Coordinates transmittals of proposals, cut sheets, submittals, and other documents to customers

•Communicates with customers to resolve problems with projects during the bidding process

•Communicates with Account Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure quotes and resulting orders are complete

•Identifies commonly ordered stock/non‐stock items and recommends additions/changes in stock levels to management

•Follows‐up on open/outstanding quotations with Account Managers and customers to determine the status

•Tracks projects being bid by customers

•Prepares purchase orders and/or job folders for project sales order management

•Monitors project management process after acceptance of the quotation

•Maintains catalogs and price-lists

Job Description

Warehouse Team Member Job Description

Basic Function: The Warehouse Team is responsible for the successful movement of inventory to satisfy customer demand.  This includes receiving and put up of inventory, movement of inventory within warehouse, picking of inventory to fill orders, loading trucks.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Transactions:

  1. Unload inbound freight
  2. Inspect and receive inbound freight
  3. Put away inbound freight/inventory in proper locations
  4. Movement of inventory within warehouse
  5. Pick inventory to fill orders within prescribed picking quota as set by warehouse management (go to location where product is located within warehouse, identify proper product and quantity, pull/pick product from location, and transport to the checking station)
  6. Check order for proper part numbers and quantities
  7. Pack inventory per order requirements
  8. Maneuvering of delivery trucks around warehouse could be required
  9. Load orders on delivery trucks
  10. Maintain physical condition of the warehouse by cleaning and organizing inventory and equipment utilizing 5S methodology: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  11. Perform duties per current procedures
  12. Provide feedback to warehouse manager on ways work could be done more efficiently or with less errors
  13. Other duties may be required to be performed related to the warehouse, internal office, and exterior of building

 

Education and/or Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Experience – Preferred 1-2 years in a warehouse role
  3. Valid Driver’s License

Position Summary: We are looking for a driver to operate vehicles and deliver electrical material to job sites near Chicago. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will follow prearranged routes to destinations or use maps and GPS to navigate routes. You will also maintain vehicle upkeep and cleanliness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Uses vehicle to reach destinations to deliver products and materials.
• Services vehicles driven, such as replenishing fuel and replenish windshield washer.
• Unloads and sorts items collected along delivery routes.
• Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Cleans inside and box of truck.
• Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter.
• Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion
• Interacting with clients in a professional conduct.

Driver requirements:

• Valid and current driver’s license and DOT certification. Must be insurable by company auto insurance policy.
